● Seokchon Lake was formed by the Hangang River Reclamation Project on the site that was formerly home to Songpa Ferry. Seokchon Lake is the representative lake park of Songpa-gu with a circumference of 2.5 kilometers. This lake is divided into the East Lake and West Lake based on Songpa-daero. The East Lake has a jogging course, and the West Lake has rich entertainment spaces such as Lotte World’s Magic Island and Seoul Norimadang. More specifically, you can appreciate the varying mood of Seokchon Lake that changes with each season. This lake presents the beautiful scenery of cherry blossoms in the spring, and the Saturday Music Concert offers inspiration to those who visit the lake in the summer. Seokchon Lake’s Caf? Street is lined with terraced caf?s and Italian restaurants where couples can come and enjoy a sweet time together, regardless of the season.
● Seokchon Lake has different faces for different seasons. Seokchon Lake creates a grandeur with cherry blossoms that come to full bloom in the spring. The Seokchon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival and events held in Jamsil Special Tourist Zone are the main spring festivals in Seoul that are adored by families, friends, and couples. Seokchon Lake turns into a festival stage that brings nature, city, and people together. In the summer, Seokchon Lake is a place where you can fully savor green, natural landscapes in the city. The shade from the trees and breeze coming off the lake cool off the summer heat, and the Saturday Music Concert presents special inspiration to visitors. Spend a hot tropical night here with your family, friends, or significant other. In the autumn, Seokchon Lake offers a cool autumn breeze and fallen leaves. The red autumn leaves create harmony with Seokchon Lake, comparable to a view created by secluded country roads. You can sit on a lakeside bench and feel the solitude of autumn. If you walk around Seokchon Lake in the winter, the entire world feels white. The trail piled up with snow and the frozen lake present a picturesque beauty that cannot be found during other seasons. Share a friendly talk with others while sitting in a warm caf?, looking at the snow-white lake. Perhaps this moment is yet another gift that Seokchon Lake has prepared for you.
